Jerry “The King” Lawler suffered an apparent heart attack at the WWE Monday Night Raw episode on Sept. 10. Reports from the WWE say paramedics resuscitated him before transporting him to a local hospital where he remains in critical condition.
WWE statement: “Jerry ‘The King’ Lawler suffered a heart attack while commentating during last night’s broadcast of Monday Night Raw in Montreal. We are hopeful Jerry makes a full recovery and returns to WWE in the near future. Our thoughts are with Jerry and his family.”
