WWE is back on PPV tonight, with their Hell In A Cell event. Six matches have been announced for the event, including the namesake match in the main event.
Randy Orton will square off with Alberto Del Rio. These two have been constant thorns in the side of each other lately, and will look to settle their score tonight. Del Rio narrowly avoided an RKO from Orton this week on SmackDown, but may not fare so well at Hell In A Cell.
The Divas Championship will be on the line, as Eve Torres will defend against Houston native Kaitlyn and former Divas Champion Layla in a Triple Threat match. Kaitlyn was attacked back at Night of Champions, scratching her shot at the title. Since then, she has been on a crusade against Eve to prove that she was involved if not directly responsible. Eve accidentally caught Kaitlyn with a kick during a tag match this week on SmackDown, so Kaitlyn will have a lot of retribution on her mind tonight.
Intercontinental Champion Kofi Kingston puts his title on the line in a rematch against The Miz, in a rematch from WWE Main Event a couple of weeks ago. Miz was on the receiving end of a concussion courtesy of Kofi just days before losing the title, and has vowed to once again become the most “Must-See” Intercontinental Champion in WWE history.
The Rhodes Scholars (Cody Rhodes & Damien Sandow) have earned a shot at the WWE Tag Team titles after winning the recent #1 Contender tournament. They will face Team Hell No (Kane & Daniel Bryan), who seemingly have not been completely focused while dealing with their weekly therapy sessions. Don’t be entirely surprised if new champions are crowned tonight.
The World Heavyweight Championship will be on the line, as Sheamus defends against The Big Show. These two have been feuding back and forth for awhile, as a brawl erupted Friday night on SmackDown. Sheamus will look to retain the title, while Big Show seeks to unleash his WMD punch and claim the World Title.
The main event will feature the namesake of the pay per view, as WWE Champion CM Punk will face off against the monster known as Ryback inside the Hell in a Cell structure. It was originally thought to be Punk vs. John Cena, but an injury forced Cena to the sidelines and opened the door for Ryback to get a shot at the title. The Hell in A Cell match has historically been a brutal, career-threatening encounter. CM Punk will be in for a huge fight tonight as he looks to retain the WWE Championship.
WWE Hell In A Cell will take place tonight on PPV, starting at 8 PM eastern from the Phillips Arena in Atlanta, Georgia. There will be a special preshow on WWE’s social networks (Facebook and YouTube) beginning 30 minutes prior to the event. Check out the WWE website for more information.
