During the September 10, 2012 edition of WWE “Monday Night Raw,” announcer Jerry Lawler was said to have convulsed and collapsed to the ground. The incident happened during a tag team match on the show and was immediately regarded as legitimate and “not part of the entertainment” by Michael Cole. Wrestling personalities immediately took to Twitter to give their thoughts.
UPDATE: WWE confirms that Jerry Lawler suffered heart attack on “Raw”
It was revealed at the end of “Monday Night Raw” that Lawler’s condition had stabilized and he was breathing on his own. Still, it was obvious that Cole was visibly shaken by the incident. The words that rang out over Twitter show that many others were as well.

There are hopes by so many that Lawler pulls through from whatever caused this medical emergency this evening on “Raw.” He was scheduled for a CAT scan sometime tonight and the hopes are that all things turn out alright.
