Weddings occur all year around especially in the fall. With the unpredictable weather and the desire to purchase a dress that can be worn again, shopping for the perfect wedding attendee frock can be quite tedious. There are a couple of things to keep in mind while scavenging the racks at your favorite boutique.
Don’t outshine the bride! You never want to show up to a wedding wearing a dress that can possibly compete with the bride.
Be sure you to know the Bride’s colors. Wedding guests should not wear the same colors that the Bride and her wedding party will be wearing.
Don’t wear white. Sure fashion has evolved and some fashion mags are publishing articles stating that it’s acceptable to wear white to a wedding as long as it’s not the same shade of white as the bride or if you wear a pattern that incorporates the color. Unfortunately not every bride has acquired the memo, so the best advice to be given is to stay away from the color.
Embrace color. Jewel tones are really big this fall especially emerald. And black is one color that will never steer you in the wrong direction.
Dress modestly. You may have amazing legs or bountiful cleavage but please do yourself a favor and keep it under wraps. This goes back to allowing the bride to bask in the spotlight.
