Autumn with its brilliant fall colors ushers in the joy and seasonal celebrations of harvesting the crops and enjoying the bounty of the fields. The harvest marks the end of the growing period and the transition from warm weather to a crisper feel in the air.
With its cooler temperatures, striking fall colors, and smaller crowds, autumn is the perfect time for a short trip to one of Ohio’s choice vineyards for some fun and wine tasting. This is a magical time at the vineyards, a time of the grape harvest. You will experience the beauty of the grape leaves changing to their fall colors, from green to various shades of red, orange, and gold. Autumn is a time for picture perfect photo opportunities in the vineyard, and it offers a breathtaking place to pose for your annual holiday card. This is the busiest time of year for winemakers, and the best time of year for you to see the winemaking process.
Here are three of the finest central Ohio wineries to visit at this time of the year. Places that produce some of the most desirable wines in the country and harvest only the highest quality of wine grapes.
