They captured an audience in 1987 with the catchiest theme song and slang. Back then it was cowabunga now exactly 20+ years later, its Booyakasha!
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles(or TMNT) have a story that has survived the decades and reasonably so. It features the classic story of payback: One day the cute little turtles and their keeper/master had toxic waste spilled on them and voila! Their master is a grown rat(Master Splinter) who can wield a sword and teach them while the turtles grew up to be muscle packed, shiny half shelled teens with overgrown appetites for pizza.
What has always been cool about TMNT, is the story line but even that has been changed slightly. Anyone who grew up watching the old cartoon realizes April was actually a woman and Master Splinter may have always been a rat, not human. But even with these small changes, the show which September 29, 2012, yesterday was not a disaster, but comical, entertaining fun fest that all will be eagerly waiting for each Saturday on Nick at 11 a m Eastern Time.
Just give an example of how good the was, visit the message boards and see how love crazed the girls are over these overgrown turtles and how many praises it received the online community as a whole.
