The month of December comes with many changes, often a time marker and a month to be remembered throughout the other eleven months. Alas, December 23, 2012 is going to be one of the most memorable, blessed days and joyous occasions ever!
Why? Because one of my favorite Uncle’s is getting married to an absolutely amazing “Woman of God” and beautiful people overall. December is no doubt one of the coldest months charted I add that to the host city “Detroit, Michigan” and the initial visual I get are of snow, ice and extremely warm clothing.
Detroit, is this journalist’s home-town and is also known as “Motown” where we put music in your ears and the world on wheels. The home of Vernors “Pop” (Soda for you southerner’s) and Better Made Potato Chips and much more good stuff. Yes, the new River walk & down-town developments and one of the busiest international Gateway’s in the world: access to Canada is just a bridge or a tunnel away.
No problem at all! Upon seeing the announcement on an event page created by Dr. Ida Muorie, which read: “Leonard Davis, Sr. and Queen Jacqueline White, have decided to marry in celebration of the coming of the Lord this Christmas Season. Leonard Davis, Sr. is requesting your presence at his upcoming Christmas Season Wedding to Queen Jacqueline White.”
Dr. Muorie continues to receive rave reviews and mega praise for her planning and coordination skills and successful execution of events ranging from baby showers, celebrations & various events small and large and obviously, weddings. I once asked her how she felt about that and she humbly gave all praise and credit to God; thanking him for the glory. She is one of the Grooms sisters and a committed Prayer Warrior.
Now being a staunch “Fashionista” my first question to her was: “What is the color scheme please?”
Her reply: “Jackie and Len have chosen a Winter Wonderland theme for wedding. The Bride’s attendant will wear Red and the Men will be in Black Tuxedo’s, with a sprinkle of Red. It is not only the celebration of the coming Christ, it’s time to bring love and joy back into our lives and we celebrate with this blessed couple.”
Awesome! “I am in need of a new Red & White or Red & Black outfit, and since moving to the South where the temperatures are indeed warmer, this girl will have to find a Winter coat too.”
The R.S.V.P.’s are already coming in strong and everyone is very excited indeed. Travel plans, gift cards for the couple and of course, the shopping for “the wedding of the year” are definitely “all a buzz.” The wedding venue of choice is the Burns Seventh-day Adventist Church located at 10125 E Warren Ave, Detroit, Michigan 48214-1566
Each of the invited guest on both sides of the happy couple, have enough love, peace and positive blessings to share for the happy couple to go around.
That alone is enough to keep a realm of God’s loving warmth throughout this amazing life enhancing event. We’ll keep you posted and both Leonard Davis, Sr. and his lovely Bride to Be Jackie White thank everyone in advance.
Please help Leonard and Jackie’s love grow and mature in Christ, with your prayers and heartfelt words of best wishes for them, on their December 23, 2012 Wedding Day and always. “Let no weapons formed against this union prosper, in the name of Jesus- Amen!”
