Well in a few short months we will elect either Mitt Romney or elect again our President, Barack Obama. For sometime now I have tried to give both sides of the political view. And not really commit to anyone candidate. As someone who has voted for both republicans and democrats I can no longer sit back and not express my feelings about this election, and how it could affect our country, and for that matter the world. During the Clinton years our country had over 21 million new jobs created. We then saw the decline of a five trillion dollar surplus move to minus ten million dollars during the Bush years. After the World Trade Center towers went down we watched our men and women come home in body bags as we fought a war that we did not win in Iraq. Frankly today we do not even know if Iraq will stand against Iran or if they are in bed with them? Only time will tell. On the home front many from the year 2008 lost high paying jobs and America watched as we elected our first African American President. There were the bailouts of the car industry, the banks, and AIG.
This is just some of the highlights we as American’s watched the last fours years. For me voting this year will be something I feel even stronger about then I did before. My vote will go to our current President. Not because he has fixed all that is wrong in America today but because he is working for all of us. Republican, democrat, independent and whether you are rich or part of the 47% that Mitt Romney has dismissed he is fighting to make America united once more. As a woman who is very proactive when it comes to our rights and the rights of everyone I especially give him my vote. Romney’s running mate Paul Ryan and Todd Akin co-sponsored 8 anti-abortion bills in 112th Congress. Akin has a light hearted view on rape as well stating that a womans body can some how get rid of a pregnancy caused by such a hanis crime.
As I wrote these things I am frightened at the prospect of Romney and Ryan being in office. Romney has flip flopped on so many subjects that no one in America seems to know what he will do. Our president has taken a stand on Don’t Ask Don’t Tell, and the rights of Gay, and Lesbian Americans who are fighting for the right to marry. Can you imagine having to fight for the right to marry the person you love? in the year 2012. There is just two many issues for me, and too many unanswered problems that Romney has not answered. I think America will see on election night another landslide for Obama. There is just to much at stake to have it any other way. And let me be one of many who elect in 2016 Hilary Clinton as the first woman president of the United States. I think somehow the Romney team is under estimating J.Q.Public this time….
