Fans of “The Bachelor” and “The Bachelorette” are always anxious for a white wedding and they’re getting one in December. On October 15, ABC executives announced that Ashley Hebert and J.P. Rosenbaum will exchange their “I do’s” on national TV when the network airs their highly anticipated wedding on a special titled “The Bachelorette: Ashley and J.P.’s Wedding.” On the flip side of the coin, Emily Maynard and Jef Holm remain silent about break-up rumors, but both have posted hints about a falling out.
Ashley Hebert and J.P. Rosenbaum have been receiving hundreds of well wishes after their TV wedding was announced on Monday. On October 15, Ashley tweeted, “So happy to share our special day with everyone and finally show our excitement! Thank you everyone for being positive and supportive.” J.P. also responded on Twitter, “Wow! We are absolutely blown away by all the love and support today! From the bottom of our hearts, thank you everyone!”
Ashley and J.P. got engaged in Fiji at the end of Ashley’s season of “The Bachelorette” in August 2010. During the upcoming ABC TV special, she will let viewers in on all the exciting festivities – from her dress fitting for her custom-made gown to meetings with her wedding planner. Then it’s on to their bachelor and bachelorette parties, and the next stage of their romantic journey – a beautiful wedding ceremony in the perfect location.
Ashley Hebert began her quest for love when she appeared on Brad Womack’s season of “The Bachelor.” She made it to the hometown dates, but was heartbroken when Brad chose Emily Maynard. Ashley received a second chance at love when she accepted her starring role as “The Bachelorette.” After surviving a shocking and taxing journey, she fell in love with J.P. Rosenbaum, who proposed to Ashley after receiving the final rose.
Since then, Ashley and J.P. have been inseparable. Ashley, 28, graduated from dental school at the University of Pennsylvania and is currently completing a specialty in pediatric dentistry at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children in Philadelphia. J.P., 35, continues as a successful construction manager in New York City. Now they’re ready to begin their life as man and wife and to have a family of their own.
Past couples from “The Bachelor” and “The Bachelorette” are expected to be on the guest list, but don’t expect to see Emily Maynard and Jef Holm. The two have remained mostly silent on Twitter, but have posted a few hints about their break-up. Jef recently changed his profile picture from one of he and Emily to a single shot of himself. He also tweeted several days ago, “God is working behind the scenes of your life, orchestrating His destiny for you.”
Emily Maynard posted an Instagram shot on Twitter with the following saying, “She is clothed with strength and dignity and laughs without fear of the future.” She also posted, “Keep on the bright side.” Plus, she’s no longer following Jef, a strong sign that something went very wrong with their relationship.
In past months, Emily and Jef have kept fans abreast of their comings and goings with silly sayings and upbeat photos. The tone on both of their Twitter accounts has turned much more serious, meaning that a public announcement of their break-up will probably come shortly. That’s too bad because fans were hungry for another Bachelor Nation success story, like Ashley and J.P.’s.
