Courtney Robertson had viewers buzzing earlier this year during her stint on “The Bachelor,” and it looks like she still knows how to get people talking. Courtney and her “Bachelor” fiance Ben Flajnik split last month, but it looks like she’s got a lot she wants people to know about the experience. In an interview Oct. 30 with Celebuzz, Robertson teases that she is planning to write a tell-all book and she dishes on how things are going now.
Robertson tells Celebuzz, “I’m writing a book about my experience… it would be more about clearing the air.” She adds, “Through everything that happened, they tried to dig up my past… I had no voice.” Courtney teases, “I think it can be pretty steamy – I’m not gonna lie. It would be like 100 Shades of Grey!” Fans may not want to hold their breath on this book, as some would question her ability to do such a thing. At least in past contracts for “The Bachelor,” participants were heavily restricted in what they could say about their experience on the show, particularly as it relates to production. It’s not clear whether the contracts have changed or whether Robertson has simply found a way to work around the specifics. Or, perhaps Courtney simply hasn’t gotten far enough yet to realize it may be an issue.
Aside from the idea of a tell-all, Courtney Robertson says that it feels good to be in Los Angeles all the time again rather than traveling back-and-forth to San Francisco where Ben Flajnik lives. As for the show, Courtney says, “I left from filming ‘The Bachelor’ and I was engaged and happy and in love. Never in a million years did I think I gave them the material to edit me as the villain.” She says that many things were taken out of context, and it was difficult that she couldn’t stand up for herself. Ben and Courtney went through a rough patch during that time, and she says it was a lot for her to handle.
Courtney says that the biggest lesson she’s learned is that “sometimes love is not enough.” She adds, “You can try so hard to make something work and at the end of the day love is not enough.” Robertson shares that she put her all into her relationship with Ben and she says, “I never fought harder for someone.”
“The Bachelor” star says that right now she’s meeting with publishers regarding her book idea, which she hopes will be a vehicle that allows her to clear the air. It would also cover her experiences of moving to Los Angeles at the age of 19, dating, and her decision to go on the show. As for how things are with Ben Flajnik, Courtney says they haven’t talked since they broke up via phone, though they did briefly text after the split. Given Ben’s reaction to the news that Courtney and “The Bachelorette” star Arie Luyendyk, Jr. went out on a date a week after the split announcement, it seems safe to say these two aren’t going to reconnect anytime soon.
Interestingly, Celebuzz asks Courtney Robertson if she’d consider being “The Bachelorette,” and she doesn’t give a flat-out no. She says, “I haven’t even thought about that. That’s terrifying!” She adds, though, “I don’t think it would ever happen.” She does wish that people could meet and see the real Courtney, though.
