The Golf Club of Creekmoor in Raymore, Mo. played host to the State Line Amateur Tour on Thursday. The Creekmoor is an 18-hole championship course with 65 strategically placed around the course with four tee boxes to accommodate players of all skill levels.
In the Open Division Gross Scoring Ben Kimminau of Raymore, Mo. shot an even par 72 to take first place. The event ended with a three way tie for second between Stan Wiehe of Kansas City, Kan., Jason Hull of Pleasant Hill, Mo. and Craig Broswick from Lee’s Summit, Mo. with a two over par 74. In net scoring Ben Kimminau remained in first place in a tie with Shay Camper of Blue Springs, Mo. with a three over par 75. Third place also ended in a tie between Stan Wiehe and Brian Burns of Overland Park, Kan. with a four over 76.
Robert Sneed of Lee’s Summit, Mo. shot a one over par 73 to take first place in the Players Division Gross Scoring. The Players Division also ended in three way tie for second between Jamie Lyndes of Kansas City, Mo., Richard Wills from Overland Park, Kan. and Olathe, Kan. resident Rick Wilson who all shot a four over par 76. At seven under par Robert Sneed took first in net scoring with a 65. Second place ended in a score at three under par between Jamie Lyndes and Mike Schwieger of Overland Park, Kan.
Tim Hendrix of Richmond, Mo. took first place in the Senior Division Gross Scoring with a score of two under par 70. Steve Groom of Raytown, Mo. was one back of the leader at 71 and took second place. Third place went to Ed Walsworth of Kansas City, Mo. with an even par round. Ed Walsworth moved to first place in the net scoring with a two under par 70. Tim Hendrix dropped to second with a 71 and Mike Findley of Spring Hill, Kan. took third with an even par round.
Kansas City, Mo. resident Don Kuehn took first place in the Legends Division Gross Scoring with a two under 70. Jerry Reid of Kansas City, Kan. and Dan Ferns of Leawood posted scores of one over par 73 to tie for second. Leawood, Kan. resident Ron Brewer took first in net scoring with a three under 69. Second place was awarded to Fran Ferns of Leawood, Kan. with a two under 70. Third place resulted in a three way tie between Jerry Reid, Don Kuehn and Chuck Atwood of Kansas City, Mo. with an even par round of 72.
The State Line Amateur Tours next event will be the Tour Championship at Falcon Ridge Golf Course in Lenexa on Oct. 5th and 6th. The event is by invitation only and based on tour standings.
