Want something fun to do on your Wednesday night? How about an outdoor evening at the movies with a glass of wine in your hand* all for the price of FREE Ninety-nine?
Starting with The Avengers in early October, the New World Symphony’s Soundscape ExoStage will become the new weekly destination for families and movie buffs looking to catch classic films the way they were meant to be seen – on the big screen.
The free weekly series, which takes place every Wednesday at 8 p.m., will feature something for everyone. Film buffs get classics like Amadeus, Rear Window, To Kill a Mockingbird, Sunset Boulevard and Jaws, while romantics get greats like Titanic and Cabaret. Comedy lovers will get to laugh with The Artist, Young Frankenstein and The Goonies while action enthusiasts can stake claim to spots on the green for Jurassic Park, The Dark Knight, Superman and Iron Man. Even the musically-inclined get their share of the litter with everything from Singin’ in the Rain to Funny Girl and My Fair Lady.
The 2012-13 season runs until May – finishing off with Superman – so get there early, set-up your spots (with picnic blankets, food and drinks) on the 2.5 acre public park area surrounding the campus and enjoy your evening at the movies. Miami Beach has got you covered!
