Courtesy of New Line Cinema, a new promo poster for “The Hobbit” movie was revealed this Friday, September 28, and it’s one that heavily features the key players in the prequel film: none other than the dwarves themselves.
Fans of J.R.R. Tolkien’s “Lord of the Rings” series are no doubt familiar with elves and humans, though dwarves played a much smaller part in the epic trilogy’s trailer and tale. Only Gimli, son of Gloin, was seen often. Great dwarf though he was, Tolkien’s prequel, “The Hobbit” (once again directed by Peter Jackson), will bring many more of his race to the big screen.
“The Hobbit” film now presents its latest promo poster (seen above), featuring a comical look into many of these dwarves, from its leader of the company, Thorin Oakenshield, to brothers Fili and Kili to fat Bombur.
Ever since the premiere of the second official “The Hobbit” film trailer, Middle-earth fans have no doubt been counting down the days until the epic movie’s premiere. And with talk of new “Hobbit” videogames and love interests in the form of female elf Tauriel also on the horizon, it’s no surprise as to why.
