Oh, Smashbox “camera ready” CC cream. I’m not impressed. Between the limited shade selection and the awful way it spreads on the skin, or better stated, the terrible way it doesn’t spread properly on the face. For the price point, this product should be much better. With all of the products in the CC range on the market, I wouldn’t recommend Smashbox CC cream to anyone.
Smashbox CC cream claims so many wonderful things (as stated below in the item description) but none of it seems to be backed up by the ingredients.
What Smashbox CC Cream claims directly from the Sephora website:
A color-correcting cream that fades imperfections, evens complexion, and prevents future discoloration.
What it is formulated to do:
With an advanced, lightweight formula, this color-correcting cream is a game changer with the proven ability to visibly lessen the appearance of dark spots, sun spots, and post-acne marks instantly and over time. It neutralizes and brightens skin for a more even complexion and primes, perfects, protects with SPF 30, adding moisture without creating excess oil.
Does Smashbox CC cream really fix your skin? No. I used the it on my face for 7 days so that I can give you an answer as to the beautification benefits of this CC cream. The answer is, no. There aren’t really any beautification correcting things that are going to happen for you as a result of this makeup. Add to it, the color match is tricky and almost nonexistent, and most people will have to mix two shades to make their true color.
Personally I’d never spend my money on Smashbox CC cream. For the price per ounce, they should have a better color selection, as well as a better formulation. No one likes having a mask face, or having to purchase two shades to mix into one shade to match your skin tone. At that point one might as well purchase the products in the Hourglass skin line. Smashbox CC cream is a no, there are better products on the market. There is nothing about this product that will make you “camera ready.”
