With the political campaign season in full blossom it might be helpful to review some attention-getting strategies for Libertarian candidates who find themselves a bit cash strapped.
Of course this same problem applies to Texas Libertarian Party supporters who would love to help get out the vote for their favorite candidate but just don’t have the financial wherewithal to make much of an impact.
For instance, let’s suppose that you are a Libertarian Party supporter and all you have is one red white and blue yard sign that reads “John Jay Myers for US Senate Live Free” and you live in a cul-de-sac far from a major street.
Nobody but your Democrat neighbor on your left and your Republican neighbor on your right are going to see the yard sign you’ve posted in the dark shadow of that big old oak tree in your front yard.
But there’s a solution to this because Libertarians are, by definition, people who think outside the old conventional left-right political box.
With just a little imagination you can do a lot with a lot less.
For example: Go mobile!
This slideshow offers some ways you can get creative with your lone yard sign.
Just click on the slideshow to get it started and then read each helpful description before proceeding on to the next slide.
And then don’t miss the short but powerful video of John Jay Myers’ speech he made in front of 400 students at the University of Texas last Monday, September 24, 2012 on a problem that all libertarians face: Campaign fraud.
Happy campaigning Libertarians!
