“Revenge” season 2 continues next with episode 6, “Illusion,” which will show what could be the event of the year: Conrad and Victoria’s wedding. On Sunday, Oct. 28, ABC released a promo showing that this is going to be anything but a completely happy affair for the Graysons.
“The ties that bind Victoria and Conrad are tested as they reaffirm their loyalties and commitment to each other. Meanwhile the all-too-knowing Mason Treadwell digs deeper as Emily and Amanda struggle to keep their pasts a secret.”
This new “Revenge” promo, which you can watch here, shows that it could be “the beginning of the end.” Is it? What does Emily have planned for the wedding? Is this where it’s all going to go down? Something is happening, as despite the brief happy times of the wedding, Conrad (Henry Czerny) will be arrested. But with Conrad and Victoria (Madeleine Stowe) married, she’s legally bound not to testify against him. Will that end up being what saves them? Is Victoria involved in this arrest? It looks like Conrad thinks so since he asks her, “What have you done?” What exactly happened? Is this all Daniel? He’s been gathering evidence against his father; would he really take his father down at his own wedding? We’re also intrigued by what Conrad had to promise “them.” Is that somehow related to his arrest? We know that Conrad’s not going to be locked up forever–though we do wonder if he could end up being put under house arrest.
However, what we’re also wondering about is just how much Mason Treadwell will uncover. For now, he may have accused Amanda of not being Amanda, but will he discover that Emily (Emily VanCamp) is Amanda Clarke? What was in the file he left behind for Amanda at the end of “Forgiveness”? We have a feeling Mason won’t be far from the events at the wedding and he’ll be keeping a close eye on what’s going on around him.
This episode is also the one with the photos (you can see all the “Illusion” promotional photos out here and here) that tease that something else may be between Ashley and Aiden. Do they have a past? That didn’t seem like it was the case given their interactions in “Forgiveness,” but anything is possible. Who knows what they’re hiding? They each have secrets from their past, and we wouldn’t be surprised at all if they had something in common. And speaking of getting close, Emily and Daniel will be taking to the dance floor; will past feelings lead to a few sparks?
“Revenge” season 2 continues Sundays at 9 p.m. on ABC 7 in Queens. What do you think of the first “Illusion” promo?
