Charlotte: “Sorry I just can’t let this day go on without someone pointing out that Victoria Grayson was more than just art auctions and fancy parties. Yeah, she was generous but she was also a woman of many contradictions and deep secrets. As confusing as that could be sometimes, to me she was simply mom. It took losing her for me to realize how much she loved me, and how much I felt the same.”
“Destiny” is the season premiere of Revenge. If you haven’t seen the episode, then beware of spoilers. Be sure to check out the slideshow for more quotes from the episode. Revenge airs Sunday nights at 8 on ABC (KTRK).
Summer has arrived in the Hamptons, which can only mean one thing: revenge is back in season. A lot has happened since last summer, but surprisingly, the writers don’t share most of the details. There are little hints dropped, but nothing much. It would have been nice to get a little more of a set up to this new summer due to the moments of brief confusion at the beginning, but really the most important things happen when everyone begins to return to the Hamptons. Is anyone else curious as to how our favorite residents spent the rest of their year?
Victoria Grayson is dead, and apparently it has taken everyone this long to finally have a memorial in her honor. Of course, she is not really dead, which really is not a shock. What is shocking is that Emily learns all of this because of Charlotte. This is a surprising way to break the news that Victoria is alive. It would be great to see the beginning of this, when Charlotte first learned that her mom was alive. The question becomes, how much does Charlotte know? Victoria says that she told Emily a version of the truth. Does Charlotte know more than everyone thinks or does she think that the government really keeping Victoria safe?
Emily’s agenda is to figure out what happened to her mother. It’s great that her vengeful motives are all because of family. A very, very smart move by the writers is having Nolan move in with Emily. This allows for some great revenge scheming without having to have one of them call or visit the other. It is just simpler now, plus it allows for more hilarious moments between the two. Their partnership and friendship is one of the best things on the show. Are you happy that Nolan is Emily’s new roommate?
