Rakdos Cackler is an uncommon Rakdos creature from Wizards of the Coast’s expert “Magic: The Gathering” expansion set “Return to Ravnica.” Rakdos Cackler was July 2013’s Friday Night Magic card and was also featured in the “Rakdos: Wrack and Rage” event deck.
Rakdos Cackler – [B/R]
Creature – Devil (Uncommon)
Unleash (You may have this creature enter the battlefield with a +1/+1 counter on it. It can’t block as long as it has a +1/+1 counter on it.)
Devil-blades and dripping blood make music Rakdos never tires of hearing.
Rakdos Cackler is one of the most aggressive red one drop creatures printed in quite some time. Unlike Vexing Devil, your opponent can’t pay life to make you sacrifice Rakdos Cackler when it enters the battlefield. Although Rakdos Cackler doesn’t have haste, it won’t give your opponents card advantage like Goblin Guide or damage you like Jackal pup will.
Rakdos Cackler’s drawback of not being able to block is negligible. The types of decks that want this devil in it won’t concern themselves with blocking. Because it’s a hybrid card Rakdos Cackler fits into a variety of decks.
How will you use Rakdos Cackler?
