Developing low pressure in the Ohio valley will move to our west today and bring a widespread soaking rainfall and downpours to the region with gusty winds and the potential for some strong thunderstorms later this evening as a strong cold front moves through. Cooler and drier air will be ushered into the region on Wednesday as the front departs to the east and high pressure returns.
- A High Wind Warning has been issued for the Taconics, Berkshires, Litchfield Hills, and the higher terrain of southern Vermont. A wind advisory is in effect for the rest of the region.

Tonight – Cloudy and windy with rain likely and possibly a strong thunderstorm in the evening. Some of the storms could produce heavy downpours and gusty winds. Low 54-58. Winds south between 15 and 20 mph, gusting up to 40 mph at times, decreasing and becoming west after the frontal passage. Chance of rain near 100 percent.
Wednesday – Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers in the morning, then gradually becoming partly sunny and breezy. High 64-68. Winds northwest between 10 and 15 mph, gusting up to 25 mph at times. Chance of rain 30 percent.
