Great Wolf Lodge Grand Mound is the perfect place to take your family for a weekend getaway. For more information on the amazingly fun waterpark at Great Wolf Lodge read Part 1 of this series.
When you are tired of swimming, there are so many other parts of the resort to explore. Children of all ages will love the MagiQuest®. As the website describes it, “With a magic wand in-hand, you’ll explore an enchanted kingdom and join in the ultimate adventure as you enchant objects, befriend a pixie, learn from an ancient wizard, battle a goblin and outwit a dragon. We guarantee this live-action adventure game is unlike any other you’ve ever played.”
We witnessed both children and their parents having a great time running around the hotel unlocking the secrets of this quest. It appears this one activity alone could keep your kids happily occupied for hours and hours. Although our children were a little young for the actual quest, they had a lot of fun waving their wands around and making inanimate objects come to life. It was definitely worth the $15 for the wand. My son even brought his wand to show-and-tell at school the next week!
The Cub Club is another fun space for children of varying ages and a great break from the waterpark. It offers arts and craft activities of all sorts, some complimentary and some not.
The hotel also offers spa services for both adults and children. The Scooops Kid Spa offers “…giant banana split pedicure thrones, flavored manicures, flavored fizz soaks, sherbet scrubs and delicious nail colors…” Kids also get a free scoop of ice cream with their spa visit and a bottle of nail polish to keep. The spa services are a bit spendy though so perhaps better for a special occasion.
Great Wolf Lodge Grand Mound is located at 20500 Old Highway 99, SW in Centralia, WA. For more information or to book a room, visit the resort’s website. To view more information on the other nine Great Wolf Lodge locations, click HERE.
