A three-day paranormal conference is returning to Preston Castle in Ione, Ca. It begins with a meet and great at 9:00 p.m. on Friday night, Nov. 16 at the Best Western Amador Inn Conference & Lounge. Northern California Paranormal Investigators (NPI) and Haunting Encounters paranormal TV is hosting the conference.
According to Doug Carnahan, founder and director of NPI, this year’s event will have a lot to offer, but the main feature is Preston Castle itself. Carnahan points out, “The history of the Castle, an unsolved murder as well is being listed as one of the top 10 haunted location in the world. Add a Friday night meet and greet and all day conference with great speakers and top that with an after-hours Investigation makes it one amazing event.”
Carnahan says that what really separates this conference from other paranormal conferences in the area is that attendees get “the whole ParaCon experience with a private meet and greet with well know people within the paranormal field, all day conference with great speakers, vendors and full on after hours investigation.”
There will be a number of paranormal celebrities attending this year’s event that include:
- Rex Williams from Destination Truth
- Sally Aquino from My Ghost Story
- Author Janice Oberding from Ghost Adventures
- Heather Hoffman from Ghost Hunters Academy
- Author Dr. Jeff Dwyer from Ghost Adventures
- Allan Thomas from Bigfoot on Discovery
- Chris McCune from Ghost Hunters Academy
- Doug Carnahan from Discovery Weird, True and Freaky, My Ghost Story and the Haunted Truth Paranormal Radio
Most of the celebrity in attendance will also be hosting their own tables. Books and book signings will be available along with vendors selling jewelry and a variety of other products. A selection of food will also be available at the event.
People who attended last year’s ParaCon will experience a different line up from last year’s event. Carnahan said, “Last year was amazing and we hope that this year will be everything last year was and more. We have switched up some of the speakers so it’s not the same thing as a lot of the yearly events have.”
Last year, about 70 people attended the conference and Carnahan is hoping that his buy one get the second one free ticket offer will entice more people to attend. That makes the Gold Package, which includes the all day conference and investigation just $75.00 each. There are two other packages starting with the Silver at $50.00 each for two tickets and the all-inclusive Platinum package at $87.50 each, for two tickets.
This year, speakers will be lecturing on a variety of topics including ghosts, Big Foot and the history of Preston Castle. “Each speaker will share personal experiences and what got them interested in the paranormal field, from visitation of passed loved ones to the dangers of the paranormal. There will be something for everyone who attends the “Preston Castle ParaCon”
