In the spirit of the new school year starting, a local Palm Springs school is eligible for not one, but two opportunities to win technology prizes being sponsored by some heavy hitters in the corporate world. Local public middle school Raymond Cree has the chance to win some great things to help their students succeed. Want to help the school out without even leaving the confines of your internet connection? Great! Here’s how:
First up, there’s the new Jimmie Johnson Team Up for Technology 2012 event happening, sponsored by none other than the racing legend’s own foundation. They have partnered with Lowe’s and Samsung to award one lucky school a $48,000 technology makeover. There are a couple ways you can nominate Raymond Cree Middle School. The first is super easy. Just hop on over to Twitter and send a 140 or less character tweet that contains the hash-tag #TeamUp4Tech and simply mention why Raymond Cree Middle School needs a technology makeover. Tweeting not your style? No worries! You can also nominate Raymond Cree Middle School by using this online form: http://jimmiejohnsonfoundation.org/events/team-up-for-technology-form/ It’s a little more detailed, but great for those that don’t want to have to sum up their nomination in a short 140 character tweet. The deadline for nomination submissions is October 2, 2012. One submission is allowed per person. Not sure what to tweet? To make it even easier for you, here are a couple examples that you can just copy and paste right into your Twitter feed:
I nominate Raymond Cree Middle School to receive new technology because the students are great & they deserve great technology #TeamUp4Tech

Remember though, only one nomination submission per person!
Another opportunity has also recently presented itself for Raymond Cree Middle School to earn some technology for the school. ZAGG is giving away $25,000 in technology and the person nominating the school can also when a new computer! Now that’s a great incentive to nominate the school. If you have a portable electronic device, chances are quite good that you own at least one ZAGG product. They are the makers of the famous Invisible Shield product used by millions to protect gadgets. Anyway, to nominate Raymond Cree Middle School, here’s all you need to do:
Click on over to http://www.zagg.com/community/contest.php and fill out the simple form, making sure to put Raymond Cree Middle School in Palm Springs when prompted. The best part is that you can enter up to four times per day! Deadline for entering is November 12, 2012.
