One Direction’s ballad “Little Things” is making numerous One Direction fans weep because they say they are so touched by the lyrics, according to numerous comments left all over the Internet. Naturally, fans have been giving “Little Things” rave reviews, and even some people who say that they don’t like One Direction have admitted that they like the song. “Little Things” had its worldwide debut on October 29, 2012, on BBC Radio 1 in the United Kingdom at 8 a.m. Greenwich Mean Time, and on Nova FM in Australia at 7 p.m. Australia time.
Sony Music has made a lyric video for the song. “Little Things” is the second single from One Direction’s second album, “Take Me Home” which will both be released for sale on the same day in the U.S. and Canada: November 13, 2012. In other countries, “Little Things” will go on sale on November 4 or November 9, 2012, depending on the country. “Take Me Home” will be released in countries outside the U.S. in Canada on November 9 or November 12, 2012, depending on the country. One Direction has completed the music video for “Little Things,” which will premiere in November 2012, on a date to be announced.
“Little Things” is the first One Direction ballad to be released as a single since 2011’s “Gotta Be You,” which was a No. 3 hit in the United Kingdom. (“Gotta Be You” was never released as a single in the U.S.)
Ed Sheeran, 21, wrote “Little Things” when he was 17, and the song was inspired by someone who is now his ex-girlfriend, according to what he has said in many interviews. The song is about the little insecurities that a person has but are lovable anyway. All of the members of One Direction (Liam Payne, Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Louis Tomlinson and Niall Horan) have a solo in “Little Things.”
Sheeran also wrote these other songs performed by One Direction: “Over Again” (on the “Take Me Home” album) and “Moments,” which was on the deluxe edition (not standard edition) of One Direction’s first album, “Up All Night.”
Sheeran is a close friend of “X Factor” U.K. boy band One Direction, and they have expressed mutual admiration for each other’s talent. Sheeran and One Direction have appeared on the same bill at radio festivals and award shows. Many fans have wanted Sheeran and One Direction to tour together, but Sheeran has already signed on to be the opening act for Taylor Swift’s 2013 U.S. tour. The opening acts for One Direction’s sold-out 2013 world tour have not been announced yet.
