Less Federal Government; More Power to the People
The countdown has begun to what will be the most important presidential election in decades, and perhaps in the modern history of the United States. Many undecided voters still question: Why is Mitt Romney the right man for the job?
Previously, we covered:
Reason #12: He is not Obama.
Reason #11: We know who Mitt Romney is.
Reason #10: Paul Ryan, VP.
Reason #9: Mitt Romney will HONOR the United States of America.
Today we look at Reason #8: Mitt Romney believes in the Constitution of the United States of America: LESS government regulation and MORE power to the People.
Mitt Romney, as stated during the October 3, 2012 debate, believes the federal government should focus on “maintaining for individuals the right to pursue their dreams, and not to have the government substitute itself for the rights of free individuals.”
His conservative position goes back to The Charters of Freedom, among them, the US Constitution and the Declaration of Independence.
These are not tired, old, out-of-date documents, they are TIMELESS and outline the founding principles on which this country was built and has thrived and inspired the WORLD for two + centuries:
“We have a responsibility to protect the lives and liberties of our people, and that means a military second to none. … Second, in that line that says we are endowed by our creator with our rights, I believe we must maintain our commitment to religious tolerance and freedom in this country.”
Government regulation is “the wrong way to go,” said Romney. “The private market and individual responsibility always work best.” (http://dailycaller.com/2012/10/04/romney-obama-sharply-disagree-on-role-of-government/#ixzz2AjlLCz67)
Smaller, smarter, simpler government is a cornerstone of Romney’s belief system, his promise of the principles he and Paul Ryan will serve by, and his dedication to the People of this country.
As posted on Romney’s official website:
“The mission to restore America to health begins with reducing the size of the federal government and getting our fiscal house in order. President Obama has put our nation on an unsustainable course. Spending is out of control. Yearly deficits are massive. And unless we curb Washington’s appetite for spending, the national debt will only continue to grow.
As president, Mitt Romney will cut federal spending and regulation, and bring much-needed reforms to Medicare and Social Security. Mitt will work toward balancing the budget, reducing the size and reach of the federal government, and returning power to the states and the people.”
“A government big enough to give you everything you want, IS BIG ENOUGH TO TAKE AWAY EVERYTHING YOU HAVE.” ~ Thomas Jefferson
