Oktoberfest is a 16-day festival celebrating beer, and takes place every year in Munich, Germany. It lasts from late September to the first weekend in October and is one of the most famous events in Germany. With more than 6 million people from around the world attending, it is a sight to behold. It is also a tradition, one that began in 1810. For those lucky enough to have experienced Oktoberfest in Munich, and for those who haven’t but wish they could, two local festivals will try to recreate the same party atmosphere that will appeal to one and all.
