For Tuesday, October 30th 2012 LA TV Insider Examiner recommends:
Hart of Dixie (The CW, 8 p.m.) – “Walkin’ After Midnight” – With Halloween right around the corner, Zoe (Rachel Bilson) begins to notice some odd occurrences happening in her home. She is shocked to discover that the culprit is George (Scott Porter), but she soon realizes that he may have a sleepwalking issue. Concerned for his safety, they decide to conduct a sleep study, forcing her to cancel her big plans with Wade (Wilson Bethel). Meanwhile, the Mayoral race between Lavon (Cress Williams) and Ruby (guest star Golden Brooks) is close, and AnnaBeth (guest star Kaitlyn Black) comes up with an unusual plan that may help him clinch the election leaving Lemon (Jaime King) feeling uneasy.
Raising Hope (FOX, 8 p.m.) – “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell Me What To Do” – Burt (Garret Dillahunt) visits a gay bar because Jimmy (Lucas Neff) and Sabrina (Shannon Woodward) have been invited to spend time with one of her friends and his partner. But Burt begins to spend so much time there, Virginia (Martha Plimpton) gets suspicious and pays her own visit…on Halloween.
Happy Endings (ABC, 9 p.m.) – “Sabado Free-Gante” – Dave (Zachary Knighton) and Alex (Elisha Cuthbert) go apartment hunting, but their inability to commit to a place puts their real estate agent (guest star Rachael Harris) to the ultimate test. Meanwhile, Jane (Eliza Coupe) takes negotiations to crazy levels when she helps Penny (Casey Wilson) shops for a car; and professional freeloader Max (Adam Pally) shows a cash-strapped Brad (Damon Wayans Jr.) how to spend the perfect Saturday in Chicago with no money at all.
Don’t Trust The B—- in Apartment 23 (ABC, 9:30 p.m.) – “Love and Monsters…” – Halloween is June’s (Dreama Walker) favorite holiday, and even more so this year now that she is single! However when she discovers that Chloe (Krysten Ritter) plays elaborate Halloween “tricks” every year, June becomes consumed with stopping her before Chloe really hurts someone she might actually care about. Meanwhile due to a deep-rooted childhood fear of Halloween, James (James Van Der Beek) throws his annual Halloween “Positivity” Party.
The New Normal (NBC, 10:30 p.m.) – “Para-New Normal Activity” – Bryan (Andrew Rannells) is getting into the Halloween spirit by doing what he does every year– decorating the house so that it is the envy of the neighborhood and making his annual trip to the pumpkin patch with his bestie Nicole Richie to spot celebrities. Also, with the help of the ‘Sing’ make-up artist, Sam (guest-star George Takei), Bryan dictates what everyone’s costumes are going to be. However, when he insists on a ‘Here Comes Honey Boo Boo’ Halloween theme, David (Justin Bartha) rebels and defiantly sports a Tom Brady costume. Meanwhile, Goldie (Georgia King) is still struggling with the on-going custody battle for Shania. Later, Clay (Jayson Blair) makes a shocking announcement that puts Jane (Ellen Barkin) over the edge.
