As reported Monday by CBS, Sen. John McCain said the Obama administration might be conducting a “massive cover-up” with the deadly terror attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi that killed Ambassador Christopher Stevens and three other Americans.
I don’t know if it’s either a cover-up or the worst kind of incompetence, which doesn’t qualify the president as commander in chief.
On Friday, when asked by KUSA’s Kyle Clark if it was fair to make Americans wait until after the election to find out what transpired during the attack, the answer from the most transparent president in history was both evasive and arrogant.
The election has nothing to do with four brave Americans getting killed and us wanting to find out exactly what happened. Nobody wants to find out more what happened than I do.
However, as reported Sept. 20 by quadrust.com, the list of lies perpetuated by Obama and his administration regarding the attack – that it was caused by “a video, that the White House had “no actionable intelligence that an attack on our post in Benghazi was planned or imminent” — is as lengthy as it is disturbing.
Four days later, Reuters reported that one of three emails — dispatched by the State Department’s Operations Center to multiple government offices including addresses at the White House, Pentagon, intelligence community and FBI, on the afternoon of Sept. 11 — clearly indicates that an al Qaeda affiliate, Ansar al-Sharia, claimed responsibility for the attack on Facebook.
Asked twice by Clark whether pleas for help were denied during the attack in Libya, the president twice repeated his default response of preferring to wait for “a thorough investigation.”
However, as reported Friday by Fox News, “an urgent request from the CIA annex for military back-up during the attack on the U.S. consulate and subsequent attack several hours later on the annex itself was denied by the CIA chain of command — who also told the CIA operators twice to “stand down” rather than help the ambassador’s team when shots were heard at approximately 9:40 p.m. in Benghazi on Sept. 11.”
The stacks of lies being mounted by the Obama administration are astounding.
In the same interview with KUSA’s Clark, Obama insisted that politics had nothing to do with the now bankrupt green company, Abound Solar, in receiving a $400 million taxpayer-backed loan guarantee from the Energy Department.
However, emails obtained exclusively by Complete Colorado appear to contradict the president’s claim.
“And these are decisions, by the way, that are made by the Department of Energy, they have nothing to do with politics,” Obama said.
It’s the same story White House advisor David Plouffe told NBC’s David Gregory a year ago.
But according to Complete Colorado, one e-mail from Energy Department loan executive Jonathan Silver to credit adviser Jim McCrea revealed otherwise.
You better [let] him know the [White House] wants to move Abound forward.
“Him,” Complete Colorado reported, was a reference to Obama Treasury adviser Ian Samuels, “who apparently wasn’t moving fast enough to schedule calls regarding Abound.”
The emails also indicate that the loan guarantee was political payback to Democratic benefactor Pat Stryker.
But these lies are stacked on other lies.
During a town hall hosted by Univision, Breitbart quoted Obama blaming his administration’s botched gun-running program, Fast and Furious – which lead to the murder of United States Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry and ICE officer Jamie Zapata — on George Bush.
I think it’s important for us to understand that the Fast and Furious program was a field-initiated program begun under the previous administration. When Eric Holder found out about it, he discontinued it. We assigned a inspector general to do a thorough report that was just issued, confirming that in fact Eric Holder did not know about this, that he took prompt action and the people who did initiate this were held accountable.
Obama flat-out lied.
The gun running program initiated under George Bush was called Wide Receiver. Fast and Furious was an Obama administration game. Among the five differences between Wide Receiver and Fast and Furious – as outlined by The Blaze – “operation Wide Receiver did not result in the death of a U.S. Border Patrol agent or an Immigrations and Customs Enforcement Officer.”
As reported Friday by The Washington Post, Obama also lied about the sequestration trigger during the third presidential debate.
The sequester is not something that I’ve proposed. It is something that Congress has proposed.
The president added that sequester “will not happen.”
First — the sequester was proposed by the Executive Office of the President of the United States and drafted by Obama’s Office of Management and Budget (OMB).
Second, in the infamous interview with the Des Moines Register – which, according to the paper, the White House initially asked to be “considered off-the-record and its details not shared with readers” — we learned that Obama boasted that his plan to balance the budget involves allowing the Bush tax cuts to expire and the implementation of heavy budget cuts through sequestration.
So when you combine the Bush tax cuts expiring, the sequester in place, the commitment of both myself and my opponent — at least Governor Romney claims that he wants to reduce the deficit — but we’re going to be in a position where I believe in the first six months we are going to solve that big piece of business.
Curiously, as Hurricane Sandy slams the east coast and while the left is slinging criticism at Mitt Romney for his proposal to shift more responsibility for disaster relief from the federal government to the states, they fail to inform voters that pages 94-96 of Obama’s OMB proposal for the upcoming budget sequester would cut nearly $900 million from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), including disaster relief, food and shelter, and flood management at both the federal and state levels.
Then there’s another dirty little secret being foisted upon Americans by the Obama with the pending sequester.
As reported Oct. 2 by quadrust.com, not only is the Obama administration engaged in a concerted effort to pressure government contractors not to comply with the 60-day layoff notice as required by the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act (WARN) until after the election, they are telling these contractors that if they get sued by employees who may eventually be laid off in January, the OBM is going to see to it that taxpayer money is used to pay for every lawsuit filed against them – “settlements, attorney fees, court costs – everything, regardless of the cost for each case.”
We’ve all heard of the old story of boiling frogs. Put a frog in a pot of water, place it on the stove and — because the heat rises slowly — the frog will just sit there until it’s eventually poached and dead.
The lies being perpetuated by the Obama administration – and by the president himself – have already proven to be both fiscally and physically deadly. But — apparently convinced that Americans haven’t noticed that they are in increasing danger — they continue to introduce the lies and crank up the heat.
Perhaps the administration will try to blame the rise in deadly heat in America on global warming.
Too bad data released by the United Kingdom’s National Weather Service on Oct. 16 — as reported by The Daily Mail — proved that the world stopped getting warmer 16 years ago.
