Nokia and Microsoft united for a launch of the amazing, top of the line Lumia 920 and mid-to-high end Lumia 820 on Wednesday, September 5, 2012!
The Nokia Lumia 920 has outstanding new features such as, but not limited to wireless charging, advanced PureView camera (which first appeared in the Symbian-powered PureView 808 smartphone), and has an 8 megapixel camera. For those who love the Lumia 900, you’ll be very pleased with the Lumia 920’s slightly bigger and sleeker body (it feels really nice and sturdy when held and it doesn’t slip off hands), more stylish, gloss polycarbonate shell that’s even stronger and tougher than the Lumia 900! This awesome colorful and shiny device had an incredible vivid display and comes in red, gray, yellow, black and white, so it meets everyone’s color preferences.
The Nokia Lumia 820 is similar to the 920, except that it doesn’t come with the PureView camera. It has the same polycarbonate shell, HD+ display, NFC, built-in apps, and wireless charging ( the special charging back is sold seperate for wireless charging). It enables a changeable back cover, which will allows users to switch the colors of their smartphones, which is great for those who prefer some change and spice in their daily routine.
According to Chris Hollis from Nokia, he’s very excited about the new phones’ great features, the partnership between Nokia and Microsoft has been great since conception and these two awesome, brand new Nokia phones will be available closer to the holidays! The Nokia media cocktail party was fun-filled with delicious cocktails, appetizers and music in the background, so hope you all can hear what Chris has to say: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CBIbX0u0ggw
Karan Nigam, marketing associate from Nokia says the Nokia Lumia 920 is a beautiful, bright phone with cool imaging, which he thinks is the best feature of the phone. His personal favorite features are the phone’s cinemagraph lens which enables one to take a video and create a still image with some motion video to it, and wireless charging which is super convenient! Savannara Kong, product marketing specialist from Nokia talks about how smooth the device is, and how the design is shaped like a smile, which will also bring a smile to one’s face! According to Savannara, the Nokia Lumia 920’s 8 megapixel camera offers pure view technology, which promises the best looking pictures compared to many competitors out in the market today! He also discussed the phones optical image stabilization (OIS), which results in steady images no matter how much the photographer jerks and shakes during picture taking. Even photos taken at midnight will come out with very clear and vivid background! The device’s display special curve glass, which is very beneficial due to its pure motion HD+ display technology which is even better than HD. For all the ladies out there who have long finger nails, this fabulous phone is nail sensitive, so you can still multitask and be efficient, while keeping your gorgeous long manicure!
