A bizarre new tabloid fabrication is being reported today by the Daily Mirror with the headline saying, “Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart agree to no sex pact.” It seems that Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson supposedly enlisted a top therapist who advised against sex for one month. That’s the tale for September 30, 2012. Sounds like it fits in with that tabloid rehash of a one month reconciliation trial for the two. But to spice it up, the Mirror added this tidbit — they have allegedly rented a house in the rainforest of Brazil. Label this one fiction. Credentialed experts in infidelity – such as Dr. Ruth Westheimer and Dr. Laura Berman — don’t seem to make such recommendations. And Gossip Cop weighed in already by saying that they wish “the tabs would finally make a ‘no-BS pact.'”
The tabloid’s elusive unnamed source noted:
Apparently the two were told they should be “working on communicating, healing wounds and trust exercises” best accomplished outside of the bedroom but at a romantic retreat in Brazil.
“The romantic retreat also has special importance for the couple, who have happy memories of Brazil. ‘It is ideal for them because it was the place they filmed their first big love scenes together,’ my source adds.” No sex pact.
Dr. Ruth and infidelity:
In an interview with Dr. Ruth, in her practical wisdom, she suggested marriage counseling for those who want to save their marriage — despite the time, effort, and cost with no guarantee.
Nonetheless, she said, “A therapist will talk to each person one-on-one in confidence and in that way find out what is really happening. With a therapist’s guidance, couples can often find solutions.”
Dr. Laura Berman:
She advises that you get emotional and limit your grievance period:
“As I said before, it’s okay to cry, rant, and let those negative emotions out. However, it’s important not to wallow in grief and allow these emotions to completely derail your relationship. Limit yourself to 15 minutes of rage a day, and use this time to yell, cry, and let your partner know exactly how you’re feeling. When that time is up, move on and focus on the day at hand.” Repair After the Affair: Rebuild After Infidelity
Week in review and its contradictory tales:
In Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart: Week in review love news, I noted that the tabloid tales are now coming to us so fast and furiously that it is difficult to keep up with the stories that are swirling about. Yesterday the news was that for Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart was his one and only love, according to Entertainmentwise. That publication noted yesterday: “Robert Pattinson Believes That Kristen Stewart ‘Is The Only One Who Understands Him.'” But another tabloid told us that Pattinson could not quite get over her cheating and so they decided upon a one month trial. Yet another tabloid, Radar Online, said that insider friends claimed the relationship could not work out; he was just pretending for the sake of smooth publicity.
In the spirit of full disclosure, I was one of the early proponents of their reuniting – Why Robert Pattinson will forgive, forget, and marry Kristen Stewart.
Time will tell us before the tabloids. When we see them together, we will believe.
