A lot of people have been coming to Aaron Jordan, Jr for advice after hearing about his upcoming book “The Power Within, A Woman’s Worth: From Both Sexes.”
The book is an in-depth look at dating, relationships, and the reasons why relationships turn out good or bad. “One of the most talked about topics in the world today is dating and relationships,” said Jordan. “The book depicts real life situations and helps people to understand why we are the way we are mentally in dating.”
Born and raised in Memphis, TN, Jordan began to write poetry during his senior year of high school. He graduated from Whitehaven High School in 2002 and got a bachelors degree in marketing on July 21, 2012 from The University of Phoenix.
Jordan had been thinking about writing a book for five years. He recently moved to the Middle Tennessee area and decided to put his thoughts down on paper. “In January of this year, I built up the courage to put my thoughts, analogies, philosophies and observations in print and it came out to be something epic,” he said.
Over the years, Jordan dated around and endured many of the experiences that he wrote about in his book. He also witnessed both the failed and successful relationships of those around him. “It made me begin to become observant. I’ve learned how a woman would fall for what we call ‘game’ or how a man would approach a woman.”
Throughout the chapters of the book, Jordan tackles different aspects of relationships. For example, one such chapter deals with what Jordan calls “30 minute love.” This kind of love is the sensation of feeling good for the moment. “People now in the 21st century love that instant gratification. They love for people to make them feel good for the moment,” the author explained.
As he wrote the book, Jordan talked to several women and came to the realization that women loved to hear the opinions of men. Though women are generally quicker to pick up dating books, Jordan knows that men read them too. As a result, the book will certainly solve many of the confusing mysteries between the sexes. “The target audience is anybody,” said Jordan. “The book is unbiased. It can appeal to anyone. People can relate to it and draw themselves in the book.”
Jordan appreciates the support he’s receiving from the Middle Tennessee community, including Clarksville, Nashville and Murfreesboro.
The upcoming book is scheduled for release on Christmas of this year. Jordan says the book will be available as an e-book and on paperback. For more information, follow him on twitter @changinglives22 or visit http://www.thepowerwithin2012.com.
