There’s no need to drive an hour or so outside the city for an authentic winery, vineyard or just divine local wine. Grapevine Wine Tours has decided to expand to Dallas! At $74.50 a seat, the Dallas leg of the Grapevine Wine Tour will flow through four city wineries and last about 4 hours, picking up from the Hilton Anatole or Omni Hotels.
The first stop on the tour was Inwood Estates located right on Inwood Road. Owner Mike Gatlin’s company specializes in Texas Tempranillo and Cabernet Reds. Inwood Estates also has award-winning Palomino and Chardonnay White wines.
Secondly, Fuqua Wineries, was a refreshing burst of humor and rich red taste. Lee Fuqua, owner and founder of Fuqua Wineries is knowledgeable and entertaining. He studied Viticulture and Enology, which is evident in his palate of wines. Fuqua Winery also does custom bottling and labeling, too.
Then, Two Corks And a Bottle, widely-known for its custom, make-your-own wines for special events. Participants can concoct their own recipes and personalize bottles to make memories that will last longer than the delicious wine.
Finally, Times Ten Cellars, rounded out the list with an appetizing plates of cheeses, dips and crackers to accompany the Reds and Roses at this unique inner-city full production winery and bar. Between the lounge and patio, plenty of private space is available.
Samples overflow throughout this tour, glasses clink and smiles abound. When drinking wine, everyone is your new friend. So, hop on board the next Dallas Wine Tour, smell some fabulous scents, down some delectable wines, and make some unforgettable new friends.
