Robert Hoffman has written a new tell-all “Kate Gosselin: How She Fooled the World” about the star of TLC reality shows “Jon & Kate Plus 8” and “Kate Plus 8”. The new book contains explosive claims that Kate Gosselin used a wooden spoon to spank her young children for a variety of offenses including climbing out of a crib or having potty training accidents.
Hoffman allegedly became close with Jon Gosselin, Kate’s former husband, while he was a reporter for Us Magazine. Eventually Hoffman gained access to the family’s home and private lives when the cameras were not rolling for their TLC reality hit “Jon & Kate Plus 8”. Reportedly Jon Gosselin knew about the spankings but did not intervene. One family friend told Radar Online: “Jon knew Kate was using that wooden spoon with the kids and hated it.”
Robert Hoffman, who claims he found Kate Gosselin’s secret journals, told Star Magazine:
“She was beating her 2-year-old babies in diapers. I don’t judge somebody for spanking, but what Kate wrote in her journal is about absolute violence. She used the ‘Spanker’ on a daily basis for anything and everything. The spanking entries are endless.”
Hoffman claims that there are many “disturbing entries”, including a time when the kids took some candy without asking, Kate wrote: “I really, really lost it! I pulled Collin up by the hair, and I spanked them so hard!”
In October 2011, Radar Online published a photo of Kate Gosselin and her two youngest daughters. On September 26, 2102, Radar Online republished a photo of Kate Gosselin with her two youngest daughters getting out of an SUV. A wooden spoon is visible in the pocket of the car door.
