One wonders if on “Mix it Up Day”, by the Southern Poverty Law Center includes being nice to Christians….well, at least for one day anyway.http://www.tolerance.org/mix-it-up/map
The concept of encouraging students in our school systems to ignore their cliques and reach across the aisle to connect with students of different values, beliefs and ethnicity is a wonderful idea. However, one wonders if the Southern Poverty Law Center is going to practice what it preaches.
The Southern Poverty Law Centers anti-Christian diatribe against religious organization as Focus on the Family and Family Research Council can be aligned with much of the toxic talk denigrating Christian values. One volunteer that worked for a pro-gay agenda organization went to a FRC office and shot a security guard with the motive, “I don’t’ like what the FRC stands for”.
It’s interesting that tolerance and understanding is being promoted on “Mix it up Day” in a large number of our nation’s schools on October 30th with hundreds of schools participating while hateful messages regarding those they don’t agree with are being promoted on the SPLC website.
This inconsistency can also be linked to Dan Savage who has the White House’s ear to anti-bullying campaigns on many of the country’s campuses, but has been caught on more than one occasion bullying Christian students and insulting their religion. Still, Savage is allowed on many educational venues in spite of his animosity to Biblical principles.
In one particularly “savage” encounter, Savage berated the students’ Christian values with such venom that many students walked out of the assembly. After concluding his assault, he chided the students for being “pansy assed” for not sitting there and taking his insults. What is that about bullying again?http://quadrust.com/article/anti-bully-advocate-becomes-a-bully
It’s hypocritical that Savage and the SPLC are pushing a tolerance agenda just for their prospective while spewing hate towards people they don’t agree with. One wonders what the bottom line motive for “Mix it up Day” is really on the grounds of our schools.
One could easily suspect that pushing the gay agenda at the elementary, middle school, and high school level could be the prime motive for “Mix it up Day”. Again, the concept seems worthy to bridge understanding towards groups that don’t normally associate with one another, but one could easily wonder from SPLC past record that Christian tolerance could be systematically excluded.http://www.cbn.com/cbnnews/us/2012/August/FRC-Suspect-a-Volunteer-at-Gay-Community-Center/
In this environment of Chick-Fil-A, traditional marriage and Christian intolerance, the atmosphere against Christian values has been toxic.
Jesus Christ gave the standard to love your neighbor as yourself and to obey His commandments to determine your authentic Christianity. Displaying your love of God is your top priority.
Those as the SPLC and Savage fail to make a distinction of Christian standards and thus “strain at a knat and swallow a camel”. They both ignore the basics of Christianity and over emphasize the minor points that are subject to interpretation and doctrinal error.
It’s quite ingenuous to fail to abide by the standards you expect from others.
