Jaray Mickell Wilson, 16, was last seen on Monday, October 15th, 2012, in Weatherford, Oklahoma, her hometown. She ran away from her parents home on October 14, 2012, after a dispute over her curfew. She has not been seen since.
She kept up with her family and friends by her cell phone for nearly a week, and then there was no more contact. Investigators fear that either her cell phone has been taken from her or the battery has run down.
Although the Custer County police are not releasing much information at this time that may interfere with their investigation, they were led to a person of interest on Friday, October 26, 2012, who is now known as Gilberto Paz, 37, and on Saturday, an arrest was made on that suspect, and he is now in custody. They will not disclose at this time how she may have known this man. They also will not disclose what led them to believe that he was involved.
What they have told us, is that they believe that Jaray Wilson, may be being kept against her will at a location, or that there is a good chance that she has been sold into human trafficing in Oklahoma City.
Jaray Mickell Wilson has natuarally blonde hair that has been dyed black with blonde streaks on the left side, is 5 foot, 2 inches tall, and weighs 95 pounds. She has green eyes, and no longer has 3 piercings on her bottom lip, but has 2 new piecings on her top lip.
The family of the missing girl has covered hundreds of miles all over the state, putting up fliers, doing everything they can do locate their daughter. The family made a statement to the press recently, “They don’t really have anything, I mean, It’s disappeared. Just there’s nothing. Someone has to know where she is. Someone knows. She can’t just disappear off the face of the earth when your 16 years old by yourself. You just can’t.”.
Her mother added, “I hope no parent ever has to deal with what we’re going through, what we’re dealing with. You just have to go on, you know, it’s just, you have your moments. But you just have to keep going on for her, we have to find her”.
Gilberto Paz was questioned on Saturday, but insisted that he had not seen Wilson recently. Paz was booked into jail on a concealed weapons charge. He had a screwdriver on him, the sheriff stated.
