Last week on 9/27/2012, in South Lake Tahoe was a Matisyahu concert. Matisyahu? Do you know?
Matisyahu according to The SacBee was named at birth, Matthew Miller on June 30, 1979, in West Chester, Pennsylvania. Matthew quickly rebelled against his upbringing, but later came back to Judaism and later changed his name to Matisyahu after joining the Carlebach Shul.

During his most recent concert in South Lake Tahoe, I had the ability to attend, to witness a great concert. All the bands that played were great; Matisyahu, Dirty Heads and Pacific Dub. Going to a reggae type concert you don’t know what to expect. Once Pacific Dub came out everybody got excited. As one Matisyahu fan told me after Pacific Dub preformed, “…that was an opening band for the opening band…”
Later Dirty Heads performed and that really wasn’t what I was expecting. When I heard the words Dirty Heads, I thought it would be some heavy metal and grung type music with lyrics that I would not be able to Understand. Surprisingly, it was actually more of a rock reggae with lyrics you could understand. “They’ll go far!”
Of course “Matisyahu was also one great performance!” Jumping and dancing all over the stage. Singing and flowing through high and low pitches. After coming back for an encore he finished with his smash hit “One Day.” Just listen and you can hear all the harmonic melodies and song that has great meaning.
Lyrics provided by Metrolyrics.com:
“All my life I been waitin’ for
I been prayin’ for, for the people to say
That we don’t want to fight no more
They’ll be no more wars and our children will play”
