The “Long Island Medium” continued Sunday night turning skeptics into believers. It all comes down to Theresa Caputo’s knack for knowing the secrets of complete strangers that has built her a solid reputation with the viewers who turn in each week. As she talks to the dead this week, her family drops from the sky. Her son and husband try sky diving for the first time leaving Theresa in a ball of nerves.
The “Long Island Medium” is constantly stopping strangers to give them messages from deceased loved ones. According to the Huffington Post, “It’s those kinds of unplanned readings that lead more people to believe that Theresa may be the real deal.” She just knows too much detailed information for it to be anything else.
Sunday night Theresa was called to a nearby restaurant on Long Island where some strange occurrences have taken place. She went there to cleanse the restaurant of negative energy using smoldering sage, which she blew around the restaurant using a feather. While this looked a bit odd, as Theresa did this in front of customers, her personality and sense of humor made the customers feel at ease.
The cleansing was uneventful, but when she was done a spirit came to her with a message that she passed along to the manager of the restaurant. This manager was a die-hard skeptic and he wasn’t bashful about saying so when Theresa first started the cleansing. He thought she was nothing but smoke and mirrors and he especially honed in on her overall presentation. He mentioned her cutting edge hairstyle and long nails. He basically said she was full of bologna.
When the “Long Island Medium” gave him a message from a childhood friend, he quickly changed his mind. Theresa came up with details that not another living soul knew. He was visibly taken back by her reading, at times he looked like he was on the verge of tears. By the time Theresa left the restaurant, that restaurant manager, Cyrus, was a stunned and shocked believer.
Another shocking moment was from Theresa’s personal life as she made her husband and son a nervous wreck as they tried skydiving for the first time. Theresa talking to the dead is very interesting, but her family life also adds to the show, as her family deals with her quirky ways. Both her husband and son made their first skydiving landing very smoothly, so her worries were for nothing. Just watching her watching her loved ones come down from the sky was like watching a comedy sketch!
The “Long Island Medium” airs Sunday nights on TLC at 9 p.m. EST.
