“Leverage” returns to TNT on Nov. 27 with the rest of its season 5 episodes, and on Monday, Oct. 29, TNT released episode synopses for the rest of the season.
“The Low Low Price Job”: “The crew sabotages a new big-box mega-store in order to prevent it from destroying a small town.“
This “Leverage” episode features guest stars Brigid Brannagh and Willa Ford, and previous spoilers teased that Ford’s character, Tabatha, could be a possible love interest for Christian Kane’s Eliot. Tabatha is part of one of the families whose businesses could be destroyed by the mega-store, and Eliot is going to be asking her to dinner. With the rest of the team paired off, he deserves some romance too.
“The White Rabbit Job”: “To stop a businessman from destroying his company and the town it supports, the team must run the hardest con in grifter history, The White Rabbit.“
Andrew Bowen is the guest star of the Dec. 4 episode. Now, this may be the hardest con, but since the team has taken on quite some difficult cons, we know they’ll figure out a way to get done what needs to get done. We’re just intrigued as to how they do that.
“The Corkscrew Job”: “The team cons a corrupt winery owner out of a priceless bottle of wine.“
Comparing this to everything else the team has faced, we can’t help but think this job sounds less complicated than other jobs, which may be just what the team needs with everything else they’ve done—and will be facing in the future.
“The Toy Job”: “The Leverage team creates a global toy craze to take on an unscrupulous CEO who is about to unleash a dangerous toy onto the market.“
That seems to be right in time for Christmas the following week, doesn’t it? It also sounds like just another regular day at the office for this team, which is what they’re going to need going into the season finale, which sounds like it should be quite an emotional hour for Nate (Timothy Hutton).
“The Long Goodbye Job”: “When Nate takes a case linked to his son’s death, he leads the team into their riskiest and deadliest con.“
Mark Sheppard returns as Sterling in the Dec. 25 episode (and it’s always good to see him back), alongside guest star Catherine Dent. Dent is playing an Interpol agent, investigating this job, and previous spoilers described her as being “cunning and quick to key in on the squad’s plans.” With this job involving Nate’s son’s death, nothing is going to stop him from getting to the bottom of it. But how much will he risk? How far will he take it? Anyone else worried since there hasn’t been any news as of yet for “Leverage” season 6?
Of course, we can’t help but wonder what’s coming up concerning the big secret Nate and Hardison are keeping from the others from back in the premiere. When we tried to press Aldis Hodge for information about that secret and the finale when we chatted about the season at the beginning of it, all he said was, “You’ll get your answer around the finale time,” and “There’s a very specific reason that we’re in Portland, and you’ll get your answer for that.” How will that tie into the finale’s con? Has he been planning for this all this time?
