The trifecta of stunning, stylish and security (sorry protection doesn’t start with an “S”) for several of your electronic devices at once, is again created by the designers of Knomo Bags.
“Knomo was created with one purpose: to make daily cases, briefcases/bags and sleeves, that people actually want to carry. Each bag contains a well-cushioned compartment, with a shock resistance made from quilted high density foam and a tracker ID, to help return a lost bag to its owner. “The bags are also rigorously tested by dropping them 2500 times while loaded with a 33-pound weight. Knomos are guaranteed for two years.” (Knomo)
I proudly use (and I really mean use/abuse) my original Kobe bag by Knomo to this day. I was asked to review two of the newest offerings from a corporate representative;
· The iPad Zippered Sleeve
· The Lincoln Medium Briefcase
My requirements (for the briefcase) were as follows. Each day, I carry with me;
• An iPhone 4
• 11 inch MacBook Air
• 10 inch android tablet
• Various papers, docs, etc
My requirements for the iPad sleeve might very well be self explanatory, but I had a couple of additional wants; Extra slot for a keyboard and another zippered area for money, ID’s, etc
That being said, I needed a sturdy way to carry and protect all of it, while not looking like a dime store cordura or nylon material.
First off, Knomo products all look more like a works of art rather than sturdy, almost indestructible cases.
In the Lincoln Briefcase, here is a place for everything and everything had its place, from pens, paper notebooks, notebook computers, tablets and an iOS device. Everything was well protected and padded with the quilted lining of the compartments.
The iPad sleeve offered the same. The protection afforded to my beloved iPad was outstanding.
I always feel worried in testing the durability of a product, no matter what the manufacturer states. I swallowed my fear and did just that though. I loaded the Knomo products up with my precious cargo, closed my eyes and gritted my teeth as I pushed it down the 14 steps of our two story house. There was no extra protection, just what the Knomo bag/sleeve had to offer.
As the Kobe reached its destination at the bottom of my steps, I picked it up and crossed my fingers.
Each device operated as it did before. Just to prove a point also, half of this article was written on the notebook and half was written on the tablet. Also to note, there was no markings, scars or damage to any device.
While the Lincoln and iPad sleeve were the tested models, you should take a look at www.knomobags.com to see their entire line and pick one to fit your needs and lifestyle.
