Johnstown Relationships- Trick or Treat
It is almost Halloween once again, in a few days parents will take their little ones trick or treating to score the ultimate sugar high. You might ask what does trick or treating have to do with relationships. Picking out the perfect partner can be very tricky. But once you find that special match, you are in for a real treat!
Going out to find someone you can spend your life with has its high and low points. Just like looking for the perfect Halloween costume, finding the right match takes skill and patience. Everything boils down to what you are looking for. Do you go for a person with similar interests? Someone who is close to their family and wants children? Someone who has stability in their life? Someone who you find attractive? Whatever you want in that person, you must decide what person fits you the best.
Unlike Halloween costumes, which you can change every year, choosing a partner is more long-term. However, there are some people who are frequent daters. They hope and pray that by dating a multitude of people, they are more likely to find their true love. There are other people who are pickier and only date men/women they feel match their qualities best. No matter which method you use, it all boils down to my earlier statements, what are you looking for?
Once you figure out which `trick’ to utilize for finding your match in life, the real treat will come. Being in a solid relationship with another person you care for is the ultimate treat! In the honeymoon phase of all relationships, you can develop a sugar rush. You feel that nothing can go wrong and you are in-love. Some people overdose on their new relationships.
When you find that special someone, you want to spend as much time with them as possible. You want to share your thoughts, feelings, and life with that person. Every minute is consumed with that new-found relationship. You become engrossed in the idea of having found your true love. You have reached the ultimate `sugar rush’. Some may call it a love-high, this is my preferred term.
Trick or treat in a relationship is finding a balance of the right person and the right amount of time spent with that person. Just like finding the right costume and the right houses to get candy. All relationships take time, planning and patience. So go and find that special someone this Halloween! As always, laugh often and love unconditionally. Trick or Treat and Happy Halloween!!
