The Howard Stern Show for Monday, October 29, 2012 featured the following highlights:
1. Hurricane Sandy can’t stop Howard: Howard Stern and his faithful radio crew were bright-eyed, bushy-tailed and totally live Monday morning, in spite of fears that Hurricane Sandy would force the Show to air a repeat. Howard Stern, Gary Dell’Abate, Fred Norris and Shuli Egar were all live in the studio Monday. Robin Quivers continued to broadcast from home via ISDN for health reasons unrelated to the storm.
Howard Stern scoffed at those who decided to stay home from work for the day, including Doug Goodstein and the Howard TV crew. He even taunted the storm
“Come on! Let’s go! Where’s your storm now? F**k you storm! Let’s go! Right now!…It’s absolutely pleasant outside today. I don’t know where this storm is…Half the people here who live in Manhattan were evacuated…Yours truly is predicting nothing will happen. It’ll be downgraded to high winds. It’ll be a little bit of rain. That’s it…Rain shmain.”
2. Hurricane Sandy CAN stop Howard’s guests: Stern announced that the show had already had three guests cancel due to the storm. Russell Brand cancelled for Tuesday’s show citing safety concerns. “America’s Got Talent” runner up Tom Cotter cancelled for Monday’s show, unable to get into New York City because of travel restrictions. Most tragic of all, though, Wack Packer Sour Shoes cancelled his scheduled return to the air as the Stern Show house band, because his car could barely make it into the studio under optimal conditions, let alone hurricane conditions.
3. Sex, Lies and Lisa G’s “great rack”: Lack of guests meant more time for Howard Stern to talk about this weekend’s photo shoot with Howard 100 News reporter Lisa G. Stern agreed to photograph Lisa for the cover of her upcoming book “Sex, Lies and Cookies”–and Lisa agreed to let Howard make her look sexy. Howard gave Shuli and Ronnie a sneak preview of the sexiest shots and both were blown away by the normally mousy newsgal’s hidden sex appeal. Most surprising of all? Howard Stern says that Lisa is hiding a “great rack” under her turtlenecks, blazers and chunky sweaters, and the photos will feature Lisa G’s 30D’s in all their glory.
4. Howard Stern Show Weather Center: The Stern Show welcomed the only guest crazy enough to brave the Storm of the Century–Philadelphia Fox affiliate weatherman John Bolaris. Bolaris gave the Stern Show audience a scientific analysis of the impending Frankenstorm, and also brought along his hot new girlfriend Erica to brighten up the scenery. Bolaris followed up his appearance on the Howard Stern Show by guest starring on Jon Leiberman’s Howard 100 Storm of the Century special later in the day.
