One Direction’s Harry Styles, 18, has reportedly given model Cara Delevingne, 20, the main key to his condominium apartment in east London, a home he bought in early 2012 for about $920,000. Delevingne and Styles are rumored to be dating, and they refuse to publicly confirm or deny it.
He recently purchased a second home (a four-bedroom house in north London) for $4.8 million. (No word yet if Styles gave Delevingne a key there too.) The Sun reports that the house is supposedly haunted by the ghost of highwayman Dick Turpin.
An insider told Look magazine about the status Styles and Delevingne’s relationship: “He doesn’t want to freak Cara out by going too fast. But Harry does really like her. Plus, they both work abroad a lot. It makes sense for Cara to stay with him when they’re both in town. This is the first time he’s been the one doing all the chasing, and he loves it, She’s stunning and smart, and they’re spending as much time together as possible.”
Meanwhile, Styles said that he read E.L. James’ bestselling erotic novel “Fifty Shades of Grey” and found it “educational and interesting.”
Styles also reportedly read Neil Strauss’ book “The Game: Penetrating the Secret Society of Pick-up Artists” (a book that gives advice on how to pick up women), on recommendation from fellow “X Factor” U.K. alum Olly Murs.
Styles talked to The Sun about his reputation for being a ladies’ man and how he started reading “Fifty Shades of Grey,” which is about a sadomasochistic affair between a dominant man and a submissive woman: “I haven’t bought it, but a female friend of mine was forcing me to read it out to her the other day. They were like, ‘Just borrow this,’ and I was like, ‘Hmmm.’ It seems interesting. I could probably learn from it, I don’t know. I feel like it’s an educational and interesting read.
“I don’t want to be viewed as a womanizer or whatever. I’m not quite as I’m made out to be. I have friends who are girls and sometimes even if I give them a lift home I’m ‘dating them’, or whatever. It’s fine, I have a lot of fun. I think that’s important. You don’t want to look back with any regrets, but at the same time if I met someone who I got on with and I liked then who knows?
“I don’t really want to say the names of people I might like — it wouldn’t be right. I know a lot of people are up for sitting down and going through who they have slept with. I know sometimes it might come across in the paper that I’m a bit like that, but I’m really not.”
“Yeah, I’m an 18-year-old boy and I’m having fun. I’m just not having as much fun as people make out … I don’t like going crazy crazy, I like having fun but it’s nice to wake up in your own bed, isn’t it? … “I do have a lot of fun but I’m not half as busy as I’m made out to be that’s for sure.”
