Hard Rock representative Christina Conrado told us in an email, “As part of this year’s PINKTOBER breast cancer awareness campaign, we do have exclusive merchandise benefiting the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. The PINKTOBER t-shirt, specifically, is individually branded with each city stop on the tour…The Seattle t-shirt will be available for purchase at Hard Rock Cafe Seattle.”
Bananarama, who is celebrating their 30th anniversary as the most successful female pop group in history, will perform their top hits in Seattle, such as “Venus,” “Cruel Summer,” and “I Heard a Rumor.”
The duo wants to bring awareness to breast cancer research for their fans: “Everyone knows someone whose life has been affected by breast cancer,” said Sara Dallin. “So when Hard Rock offered us the opportunity to take part in PINKTOBER and support a great cause in a fun way, we jumped at the chance.”
“We cannot wait to get our Hard Rock tour started and spread the PINKTOBER message of awareness and hope to all our amazing fans,” added Keren Woodward.
“Philanthropy has been a cornerstone for Hard Rock since day one, and our annual PINKTOBER program is an incredible example,” said Annie Balliro, Sr. Director of Brand Philanthropy, Hard Rock International. “By combining great music, cool merchandise, unique menu items, social media and creative local activation, Hard Rockers help raise awareness, funds and most importantly support for the fight against breast cancer.” (See our slideshow for the many pieces of exclusive merchandise the Hard Rock has offered for various philanthropic campaigns.)
