I love this part of the year. The autumn season, where leaves fall lazily from the trees, turning from earthy green, to yellow and silverish oranges and rum red. It’s foliage in it’s full effect, and as we gallivant around the city in our best leather riding boots and shiny dress shoes, we are reminded that with this weather brings this season’s best celebrations of galas and cocktail parties! As I head out in the next couple of days to fashionable and chic events in Center City, I wanted to shed some light on the importance of changing your skin care regimen.
It takes me about twenty minutes each morning to complete my entire skin routine, equipped with two cleanses, a cream that soaks on my face for ten minuets, a mild rose water toner, a serum and moisturizer. This is done in carefully timed increments. After, my skin is glistening with energy and vibrancy; I’m ready for my close up- with or without makeup! It’s one thing everyone who’s into fine grooming should care about. Your face (and your hygiene) is your first line of defense. Invest. So, when you are shaking hands with executives, dipping your triangle-sliced pita bread in the same hummus bowl as Mrs. Kimmel, looking for your next big promotion, it’s not only your resume that’s going to take you there; it’s your physical appearance.
That’s why in seasons like this that signify the rebirthing of a new something, what ever it may be (a job, a relationship, a new assignment or new car), I look to my favorites in the beauty industry to really influence and inspire me with the latest in skin technology. This season I am obsessed with the Swiss brand La Prairie, because of its dedication to healthier skin via the latest modern technology. Their new Skin Caviar line is rich in protein with each product providing hydration and firming. After using, my skin feels like pearls. It’s like having skin of the future. Seriously. Other economical brands like, Korean brand Charmzone and Arbonne, are also a plus. Transforming my (sometimes) dull and overworked face, I stare at my computer screen for hours fixing html codes, into Snow White.
Check out the slide show for products I deem my first line of defense I’ve been using for the past two months. I honestly swear by it, and no, you don’t have to resort to Botox or travel to get this stuff, its all walking distance from you, babe.
