The second episode of this season’s “Sons of Anarchy,” “Authority Vested,” begins with a sleeping Opie woken up by the cops, as the cops are looking for Jax. Meanwhile Jax is at Nero’s place, where Chibs tells him they have to go to get Tig. They find him at the railyard, still kneeling over the dead bodies of his daughter and the others. Tig tells him Pope is going to do that same to his other daughter, Fawn. The gang burns the bodies, while Tig sits cradling Dawn’s dead, charred body. Very creepy.
Unser wakes up at Gemma’s house, beaten down by the home invasion last episode. He calls Clay, who comes over and quizzes Unser about where Gemma is. They wind up bumping into each other, and both men recoil in pain.
Unser: Charmed life, ain’t it?
Pope finds out about Tig escaping, and tells August to clean things up and dig into SAMCRO deeper.
Back at Nero’s, Jax and his lawyer are trying to work out what to do. By turning themselves in, they’ll buy about eight hours. Jax tells the lawyer about the RICO case, and how Bobby got out of prison, and that case is being held over their heads. Clay calls, and Jax finds out about the home invasion at Jemma’s. He really seems frustrated with how many problems are coming at him, and tells Bobby to put everyone on alert.
Jax: Let’s get that goddamn address. We need to find Tig’s other spawn before this psycho barbecues her.
Roosevelt is at Gemma’s, and points out this was the third attack on the Sons. Clay says they stole his safe with some important personal documents inside. Roosevelt warns them not to let this blow back on any innocents. Later, Unser tells Roosevelt he’s going to look into the case himself.
At Nero’s, Jax and Tara talk about him going to jail, and he tells her he wants to marry her before he goes.
Tara: Here? In a brothel, wanted for murder?
Jax: Hey…I’m all about the fairy tale, baby.
Tig and Jax go looking for his daughter Fawn, and find her having fairly rough sex with her boyfriend, which leads Tig to pistol whip him before she tells him what’s going on.
Clay goes to see Opie, and tells him not to walk away from SAMCRO because he hates Clay. He’s almost done, he says, and it’s Jax’s time, and Opie’s. He tells Opie they’re turning themselves in tonight.
Nero is driving Jax around, and has to make a stop. He goes to see his boy, Lucius, who has spina bifida and is in a home for physically challenged youth. On the way back, they realize they’re being followed . Nero starts to lose them, then turns around and drives straight at them in a game of chicken that ends when the other truck swerves away and head-on rams a dumpster.
Nero: That was fun! Sorry…I don’t get out much.
Gemma finds out about Jax and Tara’s marriage, and goes to talk to Tara. She tells her things are rough, but no one will know what she’s going through more than Gemma will. She asks Tara if she can stay for the wedding, and Tara agrees. Jax and Tara marry, with Chibs giving the blessing.
