Everywhere one looks these days there is reference to fashion. Most did not think that when they tuned in to the London Olympic closing ceremonies that it would be a night of fashion including anyone from Spice Girl Victoria Beckman to Rocker David Bowie. That night the world was focused on fashion, but did you know that Ford is also focused on fashion. Ford thinks about the fusion of fashion and your lifestyle when designing your daily ride!
So next time you are on a road trip to your next vacation destination, you might like to know how that sleek dash was designed with fashion in mind. It was spearheaded by Ford Motor Company’s Senior Interior Designer, Anthony Prozzi.
Growing up in New York, Anthony Prozzi attended NYU and assumed he would become a physician. A side job at a high-end retail store changed everything. Prozzi became immersed in the world of fashion, and his knack for aesthetics and style was noticed by freelance stylists for “W”. He eventually became a designer at Donna Karan and later studied at the Pratt School of Art & Design in Brooklyn. Later, he learned about the concept of transportation design, and was intrigued by motion and flow which he found in vehicles. Life’s unpredictability led Prozzi to Ford, where he’s a senior interior designer creating the clean, sculptural interiors of today’s vehicles.
Recently, I was lucky enough to be able to meet both him and a panel of designers about how they ponder your next ride during an event, Ford Fusion and Fashion Meet. Ford has a team that thinks about your fashion in relation to how you not just look, but also feel when you are interacting with your Ford Fusion! Ford has now given everyone the ability to obtain a high-end luxury product and yes it is a FORD! Ford gives you a premium experience without the price tag. These are the same things we look for with fashion choices, so why not an item that is a much bigger lifestyle and financial decision than our shoes. Although they too get us to point A to B!
So if you love your Louboutins or just have an inner Carrie Bradshaw deep inside you, you must check out what Ford is doing with Fashion and the automobile industry!
