It’s here! It’s here! It’s finally here! Fashion Week San Diego/FWSD starts tomorrow October 1 and runs through Sunday, October 7. YAY!!!!!!! The good news is that San Diegans are supporting this and VIP tickets are sold-out. However, there are still general admission tickets which allows you to attend the events on Wednesday, 10/3, Saturday, 10/6 and Sunday, 10/7. Tickets are $65.00 and can be ordered at fashionsd.com. Below is the calendar of events.
Monday at 6 pm is an invitation only event hosted by Roppongi restaurant in LaJolla located at 875 Prospect Street in LaJolla.
Tuesday is a meet and greet mixer with the designers also hosted by Roppongi. It starts at 6pm.
At 6pm on Wednesday is the art and beauty behind fashion. 10 artists from RAW who have been commissioned to create an original art piece inspired by fashion in San Diego will present their pieces to the public. This will be held at the W Hotel, 421 West B. Street.
Thursday is San Diego Style night. This will be held at Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising/FIDM, overlooking the Padres Stadium at 350 Tenth Avenue and starts at 6:30pm. FIDM will host an interactive discussion exploring the state of local retailing, manufacturing and trendspotting influences in San Diego.
At 6pm on Friday, VIP’s will be treated to a sneak preview, up close and personal look of each designer’s favorite piece from their spring 2013 collection. This will also take place at FIDM.
Saturday is the Runway show and after party at the Hard Rock Hotel in the Gaslamp at 207 Fifth Avenue. There will be live entertainment and also a behind the scenes mini film on FWSD by Mahal Style. The fun begins at 6pm.
Sunday is the Trunk show from 11-2. This will also be held at The Hard Rock Hotel. This will give potential buyers a chance to view and buy the designs they saw the night before.
It’s going to be a fun, fashion filled week that you won’t want to miss.
