“Dancing with the Stars” third results show featuring a double elimination round aired on October 9, 2012 and at that time the names of the two “All-Star” celebrities to be given the boot were announced. The world was shocked when Bristol Palin, a mediocre dancer at best was announced as safe while two former “DWTS” champions were eliminated.
The first thirty minutes of “Dancing with the Stars: All-Stars” results show revealed that Drew Lachey and Kirstie Alley had received the overall lowest amount of votes from viewers at home and were in jeopardy of elimination. We quickly learned however that Alley would be coming back to “All-Stars” next week while Drew Lachey had been voted off.
Lachey, “DWTS” season 2 winner was shocked by the results, “I honestly don’t know what happened tonight… but I wouldn’t change a thing. We had a great time.”
With Drew Lachey’s elimination from “Dancing with the Stars”, seven celebrities knew they would be coming back next week. The “All-Stars” mirror ball trophy was still a possibility for Gilles Marini, Shawn Johnson, Emmitt Smith, Apolo Anton Ohno, Melissa Rycroft, Kelly Monaco and Kirstie Alley.
The fate of Sabrina Bryan, Helio Castroneves and Bristol Palin was not yet revealed so there was still a possibility that the “Dancing with the Stars: All-Stars” results show would not be a total disappointment. But as the title of this article suggests, that was not the case.
The second “Dancing with the Stars” celebrity to be voted from this “All-Stars” season during the double elimination round was “DWTS” champ of season 5, Helio Castroneves. As well as being a past mirror ball trophy recipient Castroneves was also voted as having performed one of the top-10 best dances from the first 10 seasons of the show. It was a shock to all watching that Helio was the celebrity eliminated during the third week of competition.
Drew Lachey and Helio Castroneves were voted off “Dancing with the Stars: All-Stars” before their time.
It seems that Bristol Palin will dominate the voting system during season 15 of “DWTS” just as she did back in 2010 where despite two left feet she advanced to the finals. But, this is the “All-Stars”, supposedly the best-of-the-best and Bristol Palin is not and never will be a “good” ballroom dancer much less “the best”. Fans are outraged that Palin would prevail over dancers who actually deserve to be a part of “Dancing with the Stars: All-Stars”.
