Lifetime has not yet officially announced which “Project Runway” fashion designers will be returning to compete again on the second season of the spin-off show “Project Runway: All Stars” but an accidental internet leak may have released the names sooner than expected.
A screenshot taken from the website earlier today shows photos of thirteen former “Project Runway” designer, albeit with the names of last season’s “Project Runway: All Star” cast under them. Speculation is that the pictured designers will be the ones appearing on the new season.
The small thumbnail images seem to show Wendy Pepper, Peach Carr, Kayne Gillaspie, Uli Herzner, Joshua McKinley, Andrae Gonzalo, Laura Kathleen, Althea Harper, Anthony Ryan, Casanova, Suede, Ivy Higa, and Emilio Sosa.
So far Lifetime has not acknowledged the possibly leaked photos or confirmed the names of the designers who will be appearing on “Project Runway: All Stars.”
The spin-off series has had a number of casting change ups for its second season. Early reports said that Angela Lindvall was out as host; to little surprise given the lukewarm reception she saw from long-time “Project Runway” fans during season one. Then it was announced that Carolyn Murphy would be replacing Rosie Huntington-Whitely as host before it was even confirmed that Rosie had taken the position.
Since then “Project Runway: All Stars” has also lost its mentor, Joanna Coles, who left to take a position at Cosmopolitan magazine. When Joanna Coles announced that she was leaving the show she suggested that her role would be filled by Ann Fulenwider who is also taking on her old job as editor of Marie Claire magazine. As all of these changes in cast seem to have taken place during the “Project Runway: All Stars” taping it is unclear how that will be reflected in the show.
It seems certain that Isaac Mizrahi will be returning as judge, possibly joined by Marchesa’s Georgina Chapman. It appears that newly divorced actress Katie Holmes will make an appearance as guest judge for a challenge that may be centered around her fashion line.
It has not yet been announced when “Project Runway: All Stars” will begin airing though it is assumed that aping has already been completed for the show. If it follows the same schedule as its season one the premiere episode will air immediately following the finale of “Project Runway: Season Ten” on October 18th.
