The ABC Television Network celebrates Country Music during the week of Oct. 29-Nov. 2, 2012, with a week of specials and themed episodes, according to an Oct. 26, 2012, press release from ABC Television Network. Shows featuring a Country Music theme include “Dancing with the Stars,” “Good Morning America,” “Nashville,” “Malibu Country” and the 46th Annual CMA Awards.”

The country music theme was kicked off of Friday, Oct. 26, when Katie Couric got up close and personal with some of country music’s biggest stars in an edition of 20/20. Couric got an all-access pass into the homes and private lives of Country stars including Taylor Swift, Reba, Carrie Underwood and Miranda Lambert with the Pistol Annies. In addition, viewers heard from Luke Bryan, Martina McBride, Jason Aldean and more on the greatest female Country singers of all time. ABC News’ Amy Robach and Chris Connelly also contributed to the hour.
On Monday, Oct. 29, American Country Music artists Little Big Town and Big and Rich will perform on “Dancing with the Stars: All-Stars” for a Country-themed edition of the hit series, Monday, Oct. 29 (8-10 p.m., ET). DWTS features Country Music
Billy Ray Cyrus will perform a song from his newest album and talk about his role in Broadway’s “Chicago” on Tuesday, Oct. 30 on “Good Morning America” (7-9 a.m., ET).
On ABC’s newest hit “Nashville” will begin new story arc, featuring Kimberly Williams-Paisley . “GMA’s” Robin Roberts makes a cameo appearance in the episode airing Wed., Oct. 31 (10-11 p.m., ET).
“Good Morning America” goes on the road again when Sam Champion heads to Nashville on Thursday, Nov. 1. Multimedia superstar Reba will perform the “Malibu Country” theme song, for the new series which premieres on Friday night. Reba will mark her return to primetime with several national television appearances on the ABC network. Throughout the next couple of weeks, the award-winning singer and actress will promote her new series, “Malibu Country,” which premieres Friday, Nov. 2 (8:30-9:00 p.m., ET) on ABC. In conjunction with the series premiere, Reba will share some of her favorite moments and behind-the-scenes details through a live tweet via her official Twitter handle @Reba. She will also make an appearance on “LIVE With Kelly & Michael” on Monday Oct 29 (9-10 a.m., ET).
