As has already been announced, the Chicago Pet Show is scheduled for the weekend of October 6th and 7th. What you may not realize is that this show is not just for puppies dogs, but for cats and kittens, too!
The Chicago Pet Show will come at you live from the Darien Sportsplex. The Show will feature cute and cuddly kitties that many of you will fall totally in love with. Some of the adorable pets will be presented from breed-specific rescue organizations, from mixed-breed animals from shelters and Humane Societies.
Gypsy Cat for kittens and cats of all ages will be present (so far) for this event. Cats have specific breeds just like dogs do and they’re all invited to attend this event. In fact, you happen to be an individual or a family seeking a furry fluffball to love, there is a very good chance that you can find the perfect pet for you at this year’s Chicago Pet Show!
Those that attend will also be able to enjoy meeting Jim Nesci and his Cold-Blooded Creatures which include snakes, tortoises and even Jim’s own alligator Bubba. Toriano Sanzone, trainer and the Author of Wolfkeeper will be present to give demonstrations and discussions about dog training and obedience. John Basile of the Big Run Wolf Ranch will provide an entrancing performance with animals from the Ranch. You will be able to enjoy a pony ride from Safe Haven’s Horse Rescue. There will be opportunities to the entire family to play games and to enter contests – even with your very own four-legged friends.
This year provides you with an all new opportunity to purchase your tickets online. If you do, you can save $1 per ticket if you attend one show and $2 per ticket if you attend two shows. Besides that, 50% of all ticket proceeds go back to the participating rescues that will be attending the event. To purchase the tickets online, go to http://www.chicagopetshow.com/tickets/.
The goal of this event is to draw attention to those that help to save animals by rescuing them, promoting them, fostering them and helping them to heal – mentally, emotionally and physically. Many of the organizations are completely overburdened and the 50/50 split will help them tremendously be able to support current and future animals placed in their care.
So put this event on your calendar and plan to attend on October 6th and/or 7th to find the furball of your dreams. The event will take place at the Darien Sportsplex located at 451 Plainfield Road in Darian, Illinois. The felines will be ready, will you?
